At The Sound Doctor, we are committed to delivering high-quality repair services with transparency and professionalism. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which refunds may be issued for our services.

🔍 Diagnostic Fees

​

A non-refundable diagnostic fee of R350 is charged for all devices submitted for assessment. This fee covers the time, expertise, and resources required to accurately identify faults and recommend appropriate repair solutions.

💰 Deposits & Repair Approval

​

Once a device has been diagnosed, a detailed quotation is provided.

  • Repairs will only proceed upon client approval.

  • A 50% deposit is required before any repair work begins.

Deposits are non-refundable once repair work has commenced, as parts may be ordered and labor allocated.

 

🛠️ Repairs & Service Completion

​

All repairs are carried out with care and professional standards. Due to the nature of electronic repairs:

  • No refunds are issued for completed repairs, as services rendered involve time, expertise, and components used.

  • If an issue persists after repair, we will assess the device and take reasonable steps to address the concern in line with our service standards.

 

❌ Cancellations

​

  • If a repair is cancelled before work has started, any deposit paid may be refunded, excluding the diagnostic fee.

  • Once repair work has begun, cancellations are not eligible for refunds.

 

🔁 Unrepairable Devices

​

If a device is deemed beyond economical or technical repair:

  • No repair charges will apply beyond the diagnostic fee.

  • The device will be returned to the client.

 

🚚 Courier & Delivery Costs

​

Courier and delivery fees are non-refundable, as these are third-party service costs.

⚖️ Consumer Protection

​

This policy is designed in accordance with fair business practices and applicable South African consumer principles. We aim to resolve any concerns professionally and in good faith.
